Based on NEC Table 310.16 for copper conductors in raceway (not more than three current-carrying conductors, 30 °C ambient). Small wires are limited by overcurrent rules to 15 A (14 AWG), 20 A (12 AWG) and 30 A (10 AWG). Continuous loads (3 hours or more) must not exceed 80% of the rating.
