Fresnel Equations (Reflectance)
Calculate how much light is reflected and transmitted at the boundary between two media for s, p and unpolarised light, free online.
À propos de cette calculatrice
Fresnel's equations give the reflected fraction at an interface: Rs = [(n₁cosθᵢ − n₂cosθₜ)/(n₁cosθᵢ + n₂cosθₜ)]², Rp = [(n₁cosθₜ − n₂cosθᵢ)/(n₁cosθₜ + n₂cosθᵢ)]², with Snell's law n₁sinθᵢ = n₂sinθₜ. Unpolarised light reflects (Rs + Rp)/2. Beyond the critical angle there is total internal reflection.
