About this calculator

At terminal velocity drag balances weight: v = √(2mg ÷ (ρ·A·C_d)), where ρ is air density (1.225 kg/m³ at sea level), A the frontal area and C_d the drag coefficient (about 1.0–1.3 for a skydiver belly-down, 0.47 for a sphere).
